This module is designed to immerse students in the foundational principles of scientific writing, specifically tailored for the human and social sciences. By the end of this course, students will not only master the art of crafting high-quality qualitative and quantitative research papers but also develop a keen understanding of the ethical standards that underpin scholarly work. This journey into scientific writing will refine their skills in producing research that is not just methodologically sound but also engaging, coherent, and ethically responsible.
Throughout this module, students will explore the multifaceted process of constructing well-structured research papers. They will engage with key elements of effective scientific writing, learning to balance the intricacies of both qualitative and quantitative research. This comprehensive approach will allow students to produce scholarly work that resonates with clarity, depth, and rigor.
In the realm of qualitative research, students will uncover the art of storytelling through a scholarly lens. They will learn how to weave compelling narratives based on meticulous research, gaining hands-on experience with methodologies such as interviews, content analysis, and ethnographic studies. The module will guide them in synthesizing complex qualitative data into insightful, coherent narratives that not only inform but also engage the reader. They will be trained to craft pieces that reflect both scholarly rigor and narrative finesse.
On the quantitative side, the module offers a deep dive into empirical research methods. Students will develop skills in designing experiments, constructing surveys, and performing statistical analyses. They will learn to present their quantitative findings with precision and clarity, adhering to the highest standards of academic writing. By mastering the conventions of quantitative reporting, students will be equipped to convey their research findings in a way that is both accessible and authoritative.
Ethics in research and publication will be a cornerstone of this module. Students will explore the ethical dimensions of scientific writing, including the nuances of informed consent, confidentiality, and responsible data use. Name of the Faculty: Prof. Guido Veronese 

(P.h.D.) is a Clinical Psychologist and individual, marital and family systemic psychotherapist. He graduated in Clinical and Community Psychology at the University of Padua. He obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where he currently holds the role of Associate professor and teaches Clinical and Community Psychology.

Expert in intervention on extreme and collective traumas, he works and researches in areas affected by political and military violence and severe human rights violations.
